Lunch Routines: parents please connect with your child regarding arrangements made to leave school property, returning to the schoolyard and following through on safety expectations. Also, discuss impromptu lunch house visits which are putting pressure on peers to eat at others' homes especially without prior arrangements. The ongoing out-for-lunch interactions require conflict resolution time throughout the afternoon during the instructional day. Your continued support is always very much appreciated.

You Matter: You Matter! More importantly, before convincing anyone else that they matter, we must first remind ourselves that WE MATTER. Inspired by Angela Maiers.
We will be sharing your statements on our 'tree of lights' within our class community. This is our way of continuing to build upon changing our mindset and moving forward thru our learning journey this year and beyond. Share a post in padlet

It was a pleasure to meet with many of the parents during parent/teacher interviews on Thursday and Friday.  I look forward to meeting with others throughout next week.  Students will be asked to reflect on their Progress Report next week and to consider the following (as these were a common trend in our class community of learners):
  • Daily reading at home and at school
  • In class (at home as needed) task completion (both online and paper & pencil tasks)
  • Self Advocating, Risk Taking, Asking Questions
  • Contributing member of your own learning (and the learning of others)
